MONSTER MOUNTAIN BIKE CHALLENGE
The Generation Homes Monster MTB Challenge is a fun-filled mountain biking event for kids, from preschool age through to Year 8, proudly organised by the St Patrick's Catholic School PTFA in conjunction with Bike Taupō. Held at Craters Mountain Bike Park in Taupō, the event offers a semi-competitive yet welcoming environment for children of all biking abilities to enjoy the thrill of mountain biking. Every child who finishes receives a medal, with trophies awarded to the top three boys and girls in each of the three timed courses. Our youngest riders, the Micro Monster Mashers, are also rewarded with a medal. Plus, there are loads of spot prizes up for grabs, making it an exciting day for the whole family!
There are 4 events to choose from, The LM Party Planning & Events Mini Monster is a 2km course for beginner riders, the Monster Classic is a 5km trail suitable for most kids aged 8 and up, the Contact Energy Mega Monster Challenge is a more advanced 12km course for experienced riders, and the Total Sport Micro Monster Mash is a fun 500m ride for preschoolers. Because children can vary significantly in ability, experience and confidence, there are NO set age limits for any of the courses. This means that there is an option for ANY skill level at ANY age. All of the above events are timed, every rider receives a medal and there are trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Boy and Girl for each course.
