This event brings the heritage of motorsport to life with an international lineup of Formula Atlantics joining New Zealand contenders for high-intensity racing and impressive off-track displays. A dedicated race field for these iconic machines will see drivers battle for the 2026 Historic GP title.

Fans can also enjoy a variety of historic categories, including HVRA Saloons, Arrow Wheels Heritage Touring Cars NZ, Classic Saloons and EURO Class, while the Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Trophy showcases the future stars of motorsport.

For the first time, the Repco NextGen NZ Championship introduces the Formula Atlantic New Zealand Grand Prix Double-Header, taking place at the Giltrap Group Taupo Historic GP and the NAPA 70th New Zealand Grand Prix at Highlands Motorsport Park. The Formula Atlantic feature race winner will also be awarded the Tim Miles Memorial Trophy, honouring one of New Zealand motorsport’s greats.

This year’s celebration also spotlights Euromarque, with European car owners invited to register and display their vehicles as part of the event.

The weekend promises a full schedule of excitement, including show and shines, demonstration laps, interactive displays and the much-loved Grid Walk.
